Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections associated with use of contaminated medicaments.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa was recovered from three hospital-prepared medicaments being used on the wards. Sixty-six patients were studied to observe the effect of using these contaminated medicaments. Psaeruginosa was recovered from 29 patients; in five the strains recovered bore a close resemblance to strains previously isolated from the contaminated medicaments.

متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences of Two Pseudomonas aeruginosa Bloodstream Infection Isolates Associated with Rapid Patient Death
The morbidity and mortality associated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa bloodstream infections are significant. New strategies are required to treat such infections. We report here the draft genome sequences of two antibiotic-sensitive P. aeruginosa bloodstream infection isolates that were associated with rapid death in nonneutropenic patients.
متن کاملBacterial and clinical characteristics of health care- and community-acquired bloodstream infections due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Health care-associated infections, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa bloodstream infection, have been linked to delays in appropriate antibiotic therapy and an increased mortality rate. The objective of this study was to evaluate intrinsic virulence, bacterial resistance, and clinical outcomes of health care-associated bloodstream infections (HCABSIs) in comparison with those of community-acquir...
